Let’s talk about feminism. To some people, this word is scary and overbearing. Why is that? What if we changed the word to equality? The biggest misconception about feminism is that these words have two different meanings, when in fact they are synonyms for each other.

Feminism is “the belief that women are and should be treated as intellectual, political and social equals to men.” Feminism is not about believing that women are better than men, or should be treated as such.
